You found it! You may not know what you found, but whatever it is, you are here. My name is Phil Hudson. I’m not anything special, so far. I am, however, trying to get there. Let me tell you a little bit about me and what I want to accomplish in this life.- Screenwriter – I have loved watching films since I was a child, they excite me and spark my imagination. They have the ability and capacity to take me to another world and away from the ordinary and quite average life I live. One day, as a 14 year-old living in a poe-dunk town in Oklahoma, I saw something flash across the end credits of a film: Written By… My mind was blown. I thought, ‘Man, I can do that.‘ A few years prior I had started to write my own short stories and fell in love the ability it gave me to express myself and share my unique view of the world. I’ve always loved the art of film making, however during high school my focus was elsewhere and I never really applied myself to that field. After returning from an LDS mission in 2008 my desire to produce, exhibit, and make my own films was rekindled. That fire, combined with a great friend with a creative mind (Mike Hall) and it’s no wonder why I want to add my own unique touch to the world of film and story telling. That’s why I want to become a screenwriter, director, producer, and film activist.
- Philanthropist – All of us, at some point in our lives, have had someone give us a helping hand. That lever that pulls us to a height we could not have achieved on our own. I love that about human nature. As cruel and selfish as it is portrayed, in the deeper levels of our own conscience we want to help people. I have had those experiences, that’s why I want to do all I can to be that helping hand for other people. I firmly believe that we, as a society, need to do those things in order to achieve the level of mutual respect deserved by all man.
- Entrepreneur – Business is something that has always enthralled me. I’m an American, that means I’ve grown up knowing that this is the ‘land of opportunity’. I can accomplish anything. I can start and build a business with unlimited possibilities. All I need is to push myself, my creativity and my education in order to establish myself as a business owner. Passive income is the key to financial security and independence, which is what we all dream of.
- Politician – Yeah, I know. You just rolled your eyes and moved your mouse to that tiny little X in the top corner. Just hear me out! The older I get, the more I realize how crucial this facet of our lives truly is. We have an obligation as citizens of the free world to actively participate in the political process. The moral lessons, ethical obligations, and family values we have are should be the mold that shapes our laws and their consequences. Sadly, the fact of the matter is, none of us really participate. We should change that and I feel, at some point in my life, I should take whatever steps are available to me to influence the world around me. Especially things that are ever changing, and life altering.
That’s just a bit about me. As of right now, I manage a deli, I help people with internet marketing, and I pretty much stink at getting girls to fall in love with me. But hey, maybe the ravings of a half crazed deli-boy with delusions of grandeur might ignite some form of creative or existentialistic thought in you. If not, oh well. This is more like therapy for a self proclaimed artist.
